Top FAQs

How do I use your service?

To begin using your unlimited InteliGator searches please select the search you would like to start with from the menu on the left side of the Members Area. Once you have selected the search simply follow the on screen prompts to perform your search.

If you do not find the desired information during your first search, don't give up! InteliGator offers a variety of searches including but not limited to Arrest/Warrant Search, Background Check, Criminal Records Search, People Search, Marriage/Divorce Search, Birth Search and many many more. If you can't locate your search subject on your first search, chances are you can find information by performing additional searches.

Will I be re-billed?

Yes. You should always read over billing terms carefully before checkout. If you have signed up for our 4 day trial and do not wish to be billed for the month, please follow cancellation procedures twenty four hours in advance of being billed. Once your 4 day trial has expired, you will be billed monthly for your InteliGator account until a cancellation request is received.

To cancel your account you can email customer support directly at cancellations@inteligator.com. Alternatively, you may also fill out a contact form to request cancellation.

What are Premium Reports?

Premium Reports are third party services that we offer to our InteliGator customers as a courtesy. These reports are often very detailed hence the additional charge to utilize them. Premium Reports include Comprehensive Background Report, Reverse Phone Comprehensive Background Report, Premium Background, Liens & Judgments Report, Premium Court Records Report and an SSN Report.

These reports are not mandatory. All searches within the InteliGator Members Area Unlimited Search Menu are included in your InteliGator membership fee and do not require any extra fees.

How do I access saved Premium Reports and my search history?

You can view saved Premium Reports as well as your search history by visiting the "My Account" page.

What is my receipt/order number?

ClickBank, our reliable third party billing vendor will send all new customers a receipt email with information that includes your order number.

Do your reports provide credit history?

No. Inteligator.com is not a consumer reporting agency as defined under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ("FCRA"), and the information in our databases has not been collected in whole or in part for the purpose of furnishing consumer reports, as defined in the FCRA. You may not use the Websites or Data to: (a) establish an individual's legibility for personal credit or insurance; (b) assess risks associated with existing consumer credit obligations; or (c) evaluate an individual for employment, promotion, reassignment or retention (including employment of household workers such a nannies, housekeepers, or contractors) or in conjunction with assessing the merits of entering into any other personal business transaction with another individual ("Unauthorized Purposes").

In which US states can I search for criminal records?

Some states do not permit access to certain types of criminal records, or may restrict the types of information that can be retrieved by a criminal search. As a result, not all searches will return reports or records. Please refer to our Coverage Area Page for a state by state guide to available records.

Will I receive a purchase confirmation email?

Yes. Immediately after purchasing an InteliGator membership you will receive two emails. One will be a welcome email from us. The other email will be from ClickBank, our third party billing vendor containing receipt and order information.

Will the person be notified when I search for them?

No. All of your searches are 100% confidential.

Why can't I find any information?

If you do not find the desired information during your first search, don't give up! Can I search for people living in other countries?

No. At this time InteliGator.com is a US based company and we do not offer the ability to retrieve international public records.

How-to Guides

Conducting Searches

To conduct a search you must first select which search you would like to perform from the menu on the left side of the screen. Once you have decided which search you would like to perform, you may click on it. A new screen will appear prompting you to enter the required information for searching. This will generally include a first and last name and state. Some searches will also offer additional search fields that may or may not be mandatory to complete your search. Once you have filled in the required information you are ready to search! Just click the Search Now button and follow the on-screen prompts leading to your report.

Accessing Reports

To access any of your past reports please visit the My Account page. To view any of your previous accounts simply click on "View Full Report". If you are ever having any difficulty accessing reports please contact one of our dedicated customer support agents for assistance by filling out the contact form.

View Pending Report Status

The number of pending reports you may have is indicated near the top of the Members Area. If there is a number after Pending Reports: you may click on it to view the status of your pending reports. Scroll down the list of reports until you see your Pending Reports. If your pending report is ready for viewing click on the "View Full Report" button. If your pending report is still in a pending status please check back again soon!

Ordering Premium Reports

To order a Premium Report, you may click on the tab near the top of the Members Area. InteliGator offers five different types of Premium Reports. There are the Comprehensive Background Report, the Reverse Phone Comprehensive Background Report, Premium Asset Report, Premium Court Records Report and SSN Report. First choose the Premium Report you would like to perform. Most Premium Reports include brief descriptions and sample reports for viewing before purchase.

Once you have chosen your Premium Report please enter the necessary information into the search fields and click the "Generate Report" button. Follow on-screen prompts to purchase and generate your Premium Report.

Ordering Expert Compiled Background Reports

An Expertly Compiled Background Report can be purchased by clicking on the Expert Report tab near the top of the Members Area. All of our Expert Reports are compiled by a trained team of search experts utilizing both private and public databases to compile the most complete report possible. For best results, try to fill in as many of the search fields as possible. Once you have done this simply click the Order Now button to purchase.

Please note that because of the extensive research that goes into these reports, we require 48 business hours to complete each Expert Report request.

Report Technical Error

To report a technical error please contact one of our dedicated customer support representative by filling out the contact form. Please include as many details as possible including what search resulted in an error and what type of error was displayed.

Reset Password

To reset your password please visit the My Account page and click on the "Reset Password" link.
